Jean-Claude Darcheville is doubtful for Rangers FC's UEFA Champions League Group E showdown against Olympique Lyonnais on 12 December due to a hamstring injury.
Small tear
The 32-year-old striker limped out of Saturday's 2-0 Scottish Premier League victory against Kilmarnock FC after 33 minutes, with a subsequent scan revealing a small tear. However, the Rangers coaching staff remain optimistic that Darcheville will be fit to face his fellow countrymen.
'Hopeful'
"There is a tear in Jean-Claude's hamstring but we are hopeful the injury will clear up," said first-team coach Kenny McDowall. "We have a bit of time to work on him but you can never be certain with this type of injury." Darcheville has featured in three UEFA Champions League matches this season, scoring once. Walter Smith's side require a point from the encounter with the French champions at Ibrox to secure a place in the last 16.
