Sevilla FC goalkeeper Andrés Palop could be out for up to three months after suffering a fracture in his right hand against Real Murcia CF on Sunday.

Confirmation
The 34-year-old sustained the injury a minute from the end of the 3-1 Primera División win and was replaced by Morgan De Sanctis. An x-ray confirmed Palop had broken his fifth metacarpal, which rules him out of Sevilla's last UEFA Champions League Group H game against SK Slavia Praha on Wednesday and makes him a doubt for the first knockout round on 19/20 February and 4/5 March. Palop joined Sevilla from Valencia CF in 2005 and has played a key role in both of the club's UEFA Cup triumphs as well as victories in the UEFA Super Cup, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.
