Scotland pin hopes on Burley

The Scottish Football Association (SFA) have ratified the choice of 51-year-old Southampton FC manager George Burley as successor to Alex McLeish. SFA president George Peat said the only matter to be resolved is compensation with the English first division side. If an agreement can be reached it is hoped Burley will be appointed before the end of the week. "I think we've got the right man," Peat said.
