Greško back for Slovakia

Slovakia have recalled Vratislav Greško for the friendly against Greece next Wednesday.

Playing regularly
Greško has been in good form for English side Blackburn Rovers FC, doing enough to convince coach Ladislav Jurkemik to name him in the 18-man squad. The left-back last played in the 3-0 UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying defeat by Turkey last September. Jurkemik said: "He began to play regularly at Blackburn. That's important."

Striker back
Another player to be recalled was Denizlispor striker Henrich Bencík. "He has been scoring goals in the league and Turkey will be our next opponent in EURO 2004™ qualification," said Jurkemik, who has left out injured FK Teplice defender Vladimír Leitner.

Foreign majority
There are fifteen foreign-based players in the squad, meaning only a trio of domestic-based men have been selected - Branislav Labant and Marek Mintál from defending champions MŠK Žilina and Robert Vittek from leaders ŠK Slovan Bratislava.

Still involved
Slovakia are third in UEFA EURO 2004(tm) Group 7 with all five teams having played four matches. They are three points behind second-placed Turkey who they welcome on 7 June for their next qualifier.
