FC Bayern München defender Martín Demichelis will miss the return leg of the UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against Aberdeen FC on Thursday due to a calf injury sustained at Pittodrie last night.

Mixed news
The 27-year-old Argentinian international played the full 90 minutes of the 2-2 draw in Scotland but suffered a calf tear and has been ruled out for a fortnight. However, there is better news at the back for Bayern with Willy Sagnol and Daniel Van Buyten returning to the squad for Sunday's Bundesliga trip to Hannover 96 along with midfielder Mark van Bommel and goalkeeper Oliver Kahn. The German leaders are also hopeful that winger Franck Ribéry will recover from his thigh injury in time for the visit of Aberdeen.
