Albania test for Ilievski's men

F.Y.R. Macedonia are to play a home friendly international against Albania on 20 August.

F.Y.R. Macedonia have agreed to play a friendly international against Albania on 20 August to aid both countries' preparations for UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifiers the following month.

Warming up
The match, which will be played in the Macedonian city of Prilep, will serve as a warm-up for the home game between Nikola Ilievski's team and Group 7 leaders England on 6 September. The Macedonians will then complete their EURO 2004 campaign with an away match in Slovakia four days later.

Fifth meeting
Albania, meanwhile, are due to face Georgia home and away in their final Group 10 qualifiers on 6 and 10 September. The friendly will be the fifth meeting of the sides in the last four years, with F.Y.R. Macedonia having won two, drawn one and lost one.
