Gludovatz takes charge at Ried

Paul Gludovatz has been appointed coach of Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried. The 62-year-old joins the club after 16 successful years working with the Austrian Football Federation as a youth coach, notably leading Austria to an impressive fourth-place finish at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He replaces Gerhard Schweizer who was in charge on an interim basis following George Zellhofer's departure just days before the new season began. Ried kicked off their campaign with a 3-0 win at home to SCR Altach on Wednesday.
