• Born in FYR Macedonia of Albanian origin, he moved to Finland with his family aged three.

• Scored 16 goals in 59 appearances in the Veikkausliiga – for KuPS Kuopio and FC Lahti – before moving to German top-flight side Arminia Bielefeld in summer 2008.

• Arminia paid around €400,000 for the striker, who made his Bundesliga debut on 23 August 2008 against Hertha BSC Berlin.
