• Born in Torsby, the hometown of Sven-Göran Eriksson, Berg has won more senior caps than any other player in the U21 squad.

• Won Swedish title with IFK Göteborg in 2007, finishing as Allsvenskan joint-top scorer with 14 goals in 17 matches.

• Joined Groningen in August 2007 and hit 30 goals in his first 50 Eredivisie games.
