Two-time Slovakian champions AŠK Inter Bratislava have merged with FK Senica, with the new club to compete in the Slovakian top division next season. Champions in 2000 and 2001, Inter won promotion as second tier champions last season. The newly-merged club will be known as FK Senica and will also play their home games in Senica – a small town 90km north of Bratislava.
