Owen joins United

The uefa.com Magazine rounds up all the transfer news after another busy week in Europe.

Perhaps the biggest transfer news of the last few days concerns England striker Michael Owen's move to Manchester United FC as a free agent from Newcastle United FC. If that came as a shock, then the signing of Russian international Yuri Zhirkov by Chelsea FC was long in the pipeline, the 25-year-old joining for a reported €21m fee from PFC CSKA Moskva. The uefa.com Magazine rounds up these and the rest of the recent activity, including several signings by Olympique de Marseille. Click above to watch.
