Gervinho makes Lille switch

Ivory Coast striker Gervinho has joined UEFA Europa League entrants LOSC Lille Métropole on a four-year contract after switching from Le Mans UC 72 for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old appeared 59 times with Le Mans in two Ligue 1 seasons, scoring eight goals, but will now link up again with Rudi Garcia, the coach who launched his career. Lille meet FBK Kaunas or FK Sevojno in the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round.
