Finland youth skills contest

The next generation of Litmanens show off their talent.

With winners down the years such as Finnish internationals Mikael Forssell and Joonas Kolkka, Under-21 captain Tim Sparv, and female stars Laura Österberg and Leena Puranen the Finland grassroots skills competition has been a stage for many future talents to show what they can do. An event which has been a fixture on the Finnish grassroots calendar since 1954 it tests players from the ages of ten to 17 on their footballing skills with challenges based on running, dribbling, passing, heading and shooting. The Training Ground visited Tampere to find out more.
