Communicating to the outside world and making the most of modern communication tools is an essential element of UEFA's role as European football's governing body. The task of keeping the public up to date with UEFA news, activities and key messages is undertaken by the UEFA communications department as part of the UEFA President and Executive Office.
The communications department is responsible for managing UEFA's relations with the media and servicing the media with respect to UEFA events; for managing UEFA's image where the football family and the public at large are concerned, through UEFA online and offline publications; and for managing UEFA's digital solutions to ensure a coherent editorial output.
The department's public relations team promotes UEFA and its activities across all platforms; manages and maintains links with media, and promotes the image of UEFA and key messages through press releases, statements, etc.
The stakeholder relations team defines and delivers corporate information on UEFA and its mission; manages internal communications; takes care of corporate PR issues and manages UEFA's official publication UEFA•direct, as well as other specialist publications, plus UEFA's annual reports and other material.
The digital team takes responsibility for UEFA's official website and mobile service – UEFA.com – which is available in 10 languages and which offers news, views, information, live coverage, scores and statistics about UEFA, its activities, its competitions, its member associations and the clubs and stars who shine in the European game.
