Dito is savouring the prospect of leading Braga into the UEFA Regions' Cup final following his team's victory against Yednyst Plysky, whose coach bemoaned their failure to convert a second-half penalty. Having taken the lead for the first time in the match soon after that spot-kick, Braga held firm despite Manuel Gonçalves's dismissal and now require just a point from their final Group A game against Württembergischer FV, who lost to a revived Zlín Region side.
Dito, Braga coach
They scored with their first real chance but we responded well and my team improved a lot. In the second half we conceded a penalty and it was very important that our goalkeeper saved it. We took a deserved lead after that but then we had a player sent off and that gave us cause for concern. Fortunately we were able to control things. Now we just need a point from our last match but we will play to win, that's for sure. We know what we have to do to beat Württemberg.
Serhiy Bakun, Yednyst Plysky coach
We didn't deserve to lose because we played some good football and my players did everything I asked them to. Our only cause for regret is the fact that we missed a penalty and had we scored it the game would have been completely different. Having said that, I want to congratulate Braga because they were lethal when it counted most and that was the difference in the end.
Petr Zapletal, Zlín coach
We were playing with the wind on our backs in the first half and it was to the disadvantage of my team. In the second half we used it to our advantage and we had more chances. I thank my players for the way they played tonight and I am happy that we still have something to play for on the last day. It is a very important game. We lost the first match but now we have won this one and we hope we can say goodbye to the tournament with a victory.
Wolfgang Kopp, Württemberg coach
I congratulate my Czech colleague − his team played very well. They needed to win but they won fairly and they were the better side. It was difficult tonight. We struggled to play our game and we just reacted to what they did. The way we played was not just down to the wind; it was really because of how well the Czechs played.
