Coaches show their skills in a Regions' Cup first

An innovation at the UEFA Regions' Cup finals involved coaches and team staff joining up with UEFA employees for a good-humoured kickabout; UEFA.com bears witness in Ofir.

The South Region Russia and Leinster & Munster delegations at the UEFA Regions' Cup finals were eager for a chance to showcase their footballing skills, and members of the UEFA staff and the local organising committee were only too willing to oblige, booking a slot at the hotel pitch at the tournament base in Ofir.

Three team coaches and representatives from almost all the delegations at the tournament came together to form two teams for the match on Thursday night. The final score was 4-2 to the orange and yellow selection, but fair play, and of course football, was the ultimate winner.

For posterity, the teams were:-

Orange/Yellow team
Back row: Vladimir Bespoyasniy, Dmitri Boldyrev, Pedro Portas, Oleg Sanko, Ladislav Blažek, Carlos Machado, Bruno Ramos.
Front row: Sébastian Blanchard, Vitor Rodrigues, Véronique Girardin, Filipe Félix, João Salgueiro, Nuno Batista, Alexandre Filipe.

Blue Team
Back row: Jovica Milikić, Jovan Surbatović, Gerry Smith, Catherine Maher, Volodymyr Marchenko, David Perrette, Serkan Sağlık.
Front row: Murat Kandazoğlu, Gerry Davis, Dennis Cruise, Vladeta Tomić, Jonathan Atkinson, Raşit Ali Gönencan.
