Dito was full of praise for his Braga players after the hosts qualified for the UEFA Regions' Cup final from Group A with a 100% record. There were also celebrations in the Zlín Region camp following the Czech team's 2-1 victory against Yednyst Plysky which secured second place in the section and a bronze medal for Petr Zapletal's side.
Dito, Braga coach
We watched Württemberg's two previous games and we knew they were very patient and calm in all situations. We tried to counter that with our positioning on the field. We decided to play with three mobile players up front instead of the traditional striker because we were aware Württemberg's defence are a bit slow. Our two first goals were born of plays we worked on yesterday. My players deserve all the praise because of what they did in this game and what they've achieved so far in the competition.
Wolfgang Kopp, Württemberg coach
Congratulations to Braga − they deserved to win and to be in the final. Both teams started the match well but we were a bit unlucky not to score before they did. We were unable to pressure them as we wanted to after we went one goal down, but the turning point was when we had our player sent off. That prevented us from performing like we aimed to. We didn't get to the final but this isn't a failure for my team.
Serhiy Bakun, Yednyst Plysky coach
There was pressure on the players because to finish third we had to win and try to score three goals. After we scored the first my players kept attacking and lost their concentration. In qualifying we were more aggressive and attacking but here probably the pressure and a lack of experience in such tournaments told. We don't deserve to finish bottom of the group because we played well in each game and even in this match we had our moments.
Petr Zapletal, Zlín coach
We are happy. We wanted to win a medal and though we haven't qualified for the final, second place is still good because we have a bronze. I wasn't satisfied with the first half - Yednyst's movement was better. At half-time I changed a few things around. We started the first half with three forwards and it is positive that we were able to make these changes and win the match. I'm satisfied as a whole with our campaign: from the intermediary round in the Czech Republic to where we are today. This final tournament has been excellently organised and me and players will take home good memories.
