The final tournament represents a unique opportunity for amateur players to perform in a professional environment, with excellent pitches, top-level referees and superb facilities. "I have been involved for over ten years and I believe the Regions' Cup is one of the most important competitions that UEFA runs," said UEFA Youth and Amateur Football Committee chairman Jim Boyce. "I have been fortunate to go to several recent Regions' Cup tournaments, and the camaraderie and spirit is something that remains with the players for a long time."
