Amateur draw draws near

The draw for the fourth UEFA Regions' Cup finals will take place in Krakow, Poland on 25 May.

With the lineup having been decided, the draw for the fourth UEFA Regions' Cup finals will take place in Krakow on 25 May.

Half-time draw
In a novel touch, the draw will take place at half-time during the Ekstraklasa game between Wisla Kraków and Górnik Zabrze at the Wisla Kraków SSA stadium. The lots will be drawn by Jim Boyce, chairman of the UEFA Youth and Amateur Football Committee, and RKS Garbarnia Kraków player Jakub Podgórski.

Polish finals
At the finals, which will be held in the Malopolska region of Poland, the eight teams that have qualified will be divided into two groups of four teams. All will play each other once, with the winning team in each group playing off for the trophy in Proszowice on Saturday 9 July.

Eight contenders
The hosts, Malopolska, are the only seeded side, and will be in Group A while the remaining seven sides, Spain's Vasca, Romania's Dacia Amateur, Republic of Ireland Amateur, JMKFS Brno of the Czech Republic, Ukraine's Kahovka-Kzeso, South-West Region Sofia Amateur of Bulgaria and Central Slovakia, will be divided between the two groups.

Amateur heroes
The Regions' Cup is Europe's premier tournament for amateur teams, with the finals being contested every two years. Italian teams have been successful in two of the three finals so far, with a side from the Czech Republic triumphing at the second Regions' Cup finals on home soil in 2001.
