Hosts Braga will face Leinster & Munster in the final of the 7th edition of the UEFA Regions' Cup after beating Württembergischer FV 3-1 in their final Group A game.
Needing just one point at the Estádio Municipal in Vila Verde, Dito's side made it six wins from six since the intermediary round. José Ferreira opened the scoring on 37 minutes and Pedro Nobre added a second just before the break. Württemberg, who had Patrick Krätschmer sent off in the first-half, pulled one back through Martin Kleinschrodt, but José Ferreira sealed Braga's triumph three minutes from the end.
With the game played in searing 40C temperatures, Württemberg warmed to their task fastest, Manuel Grampes hitting the crossbar with a ferocious shot after 18 minutes. However, early substitute José Ferreira made the breakthrough. Eight minutes after coming on, he collected Pedro Nobre's brilliant pass from the left, beating goalkeeper Julian Hauser with a precise low shot.
Krätschmer received a straight red card for a challenge on Renato Reis on 41 minutes, and worse was to come for Wolfgang Kopp's side, Pedro Nobre eluding the off-side trap in first-half added time to ghost through and beat Hauser.
Pedro Nobre was inches away from making it 3-0 after 57 minutes, but for a second game in succession, the hosts conceded against ten men, Kleinschrodt heading home after a free-kick on the right was not cleared by the Braga defence. Braga did not panic, though, and had several chances to kill off the game before, in a move redolent of their opener, Pedro Nobre led a fast counter-attack before setting up José Ferreira, who took his time and found his spot.
