• In all cases national qualifiers will be held to decide the representatives for each association. San Marino and Malta enter national amateur teams rather than regional selections.

Group A (21-26 May):
Scotland, Lithuania*, Estonia, Sweden

Group B (3-8 June): Kazakhstan, Greece, San Marino*, Wales

• The groups will be contested before 31 July 2016, with the first-placed teams progressing to the intermediate round. Hosts tbc.

Intermediate round draw
Group 1 (5-9 October):
France, Ukraine, Malta*, Winner preliminary round Group A

Group 2 (27 October- 1 November): Spain, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Winner preliminary round Group B

Group 3 (20-24 September): Russia, Serbia, Romania*, England

Group 4 (24-28 September): Portugal, Poland*, Latvia, Belarus

Group 5 (hosts/dates tbc): Turkey, Northern Ireland, Moldova, Switzerland

Group 6 (hosts/dates tbc): Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Slovakia

Group 7 (28 September-2 October): Italy*, Republic of Ireland (holders), Slovenia, FYR Macedonia

Final tournament
The eight group winners of the intermediate round will qualify for the final tournament. In principle, the finals will take place in the last two weeks of June 2017, hosted by one of the countries that qualify.

Draw procedure

• In all cases the draw is made referring to nations, who will ultimately be represented by regional amateur teams following qualifying competitions organised by the respective associations.

Preliminary round
• The eight lowest-ranked nations according to the UEFA Regions' Cup coefficients (Lithuania, Scotland, Sweden, San Marino, Greece, Wales, Estonia, Kazakhstan) will be split into two groups of four teams with hosts for each selected after the draw.

• The groups will be contested before 31 July 2016, with the first-placed teams progressing to the intermediate round.

Intermediate round
• The two preliminary round group winners join the remaining 30 contenders in the intermediate round.

• The 16 highest-ranked associations, led by holders the Republic of Ireland, are placed in Pot A and the 14 others entering at this stage in Pot B.

• The teams will be drawn into eight groups each containing a pair of teams from each pot (other than Groups 1 and 2, which will feature preliminary round winners in position four rather than a second team from Pot B).

• Hosts will then be appointed for each of the eight mini-tournaments, to be played by 18 December 2016.

Final tournament
The eight group winners of the intermediate round will qualify for the final tournament. In principle, the finals will take place in the last two weeks of June 2017, hosted by one of the countries that qualify.
