Artem Fedetskiy

Artem Fedetskiy

An accomplished right-back who has featured regularly in Ukraine's build-up to UEFA EURO 2012, though less so since Oleh Blokhin returned as head coach, Artem Fedetskiy has been a consistent performer for FC Karpaty Lviv over the past three seasons, helping the club into the group stage of the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League.

 • Started out as a right-winger at FC Arsenal Kyiv, making a dozen Ukrainian Premier League appearances in his first season, 2006/07, under the coaching tutelage of ex-USSR international midfielder Olexandr Zavarov.

• Joined FC Kharkiv the following campaign and opened his league goalscoring account with a hat-trick – in a 4-1 win at FC Naftovyk-Ukrnafta Okhtyrka on 6 April 2008 – before adding two more goals in the club's next away fixture, a 3-0 win at FC Zakarpattya Uzhhorod; those five goals made him the club's joint top scorer for the season and helped Kharkiv avoid relegation by one point.

• On the move again in summer 2008, joining FC Shakhtar Donetsk, but failed to settle and went on loan to Karpaty, where he eventually sealed a permanent move and shone repeatedly in 2009/10, scoring eight goals in 28 starts to help the team qualify for Europe.

• Made his international debut back in Kharkiv against Lithuania on 25 May 2010 and featured regularly for his country in 2010/11, starting eight of 11 friendlies.

• Scored a decisive added-time equaliser against Galatasaray AŞ that propelled Karpaty into the group stage of the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League, where he made five starts and scored the goal in a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain FC that earned Zeleno-Bili their only point.
