A goalscoring debutant in the Netherlands' 11-0 win against San Marino during UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying, Georginio Wijnaldum is a rising star of the Dutch game. The diminutive Rotterdammer made his name with Feyenoord before moving to PSV Eindhoven last summer.
• Joined Feyenoord after a spell at Sparta Rotterdam's academy and made his Eredivisie debut on 8 April 2007, aged 16, in a 4-0 home defeat by FC Groningen.
• Scored his first Eredivisie goal, against Heracles Almelo, in December 2007 and became a first choice in the Feyenoord forward line in 2008/09, during which he also scored his first European goal, in a UEFA Cup qualifier against Kalmar FF.
• Registered just four goals in each of his first two full Eredivisie campaigns but lifted his tally to 14 in 2010/11, including four in one game against Groningen, having started all 34 matches for Mario Been's side.
• Joined PSV for €5m and made an excellent start to life in Eindhoven, scoring 11 goals in all competitions for his new club during first half of 2011/12 season.
• Came off the bench for his international debut in the 86th minute of the Netherlands' UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against San Marino in Eindhoven and struck his first goal − and his team's 11th of the evening − less than five minutes later.
