A lively but capricious winger who may feature for Poland at UEFA EURO 2012 after starring in the Turkish Süper Lig with Sivasspor, Kamil Grosicki was a surprise winner of the Polish Cup in his only full season with Jagiellonia Białystok, helping the club to the first major honour in their history.

• Joined home-town team MKS Pogoń Szczecin as a youngster and made his mark as an 18-year-old in the 2006/07 Ekstraklasa, scoring two goals in 21 appearances; unable, however, to save the club from relegation.

• Remained in the top division after a move to Legia Warszawa but was sent on a year's loan to Swiss club FC Sion, where he also struggled to settle, prompting a further loan in January 2009 to Jagiellonia. 

• Made his international debut in February 2008 in a Cyprus mini-tournament but was not selected for UEFA EURO 2008 and had to wait until October 2009 for his first competitive outing – a FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic (0-2) – for which he earned selection chiefly by scoring both goals for Jagiellonia in a 2-0 defeat of Legia seven days earlier.

• Having signed a permanent deal with Jagiellonia, he helped them to a shock Polish Cup win in 2010, with victory in the final coming against his old club Pogoń.

• Made his European debut in 2010/11 and helped Jagiellonia to the top of the Ekstraklasa table before leaving in mid-season for Sivasspor, for whom he scored six Süper Lig goals within two months of his arrival, including a hat-trick against Manisaspor; earned his tenth cap for Poland with a start in a 2-1 triumph over Argentina in June 2011.
