Ukrainian football's hottest prospect, Andriy Yarmolenko is under pressure to perform at UEFA EURO 2012, where he will doubtless be monitored by a host of foreign scouts. A skilful winger-cum-support striker with an eye for goal, the FC Dynamo Kyiv youngster has found the net repeatedly for club and country in 2011/12.
• Yarmolenko joined Dynamo's youth academy from FC Desna Chernihiv in January 2007.
• Spent his first 18 months playing for the reserves – and scoring nine goals in 37 appearances – before ascending to the first-team squad for the 2008/09 campaign.
• Established himself as the regular left winger in Valeri Gazzayev's team in 2009/10, scoring seven goals in 28 top-flight outings and taking the field in all six of Dynamo's UEFA Champions League group games.
• A Ukrainian youth and Under-21 international, he was awarded his first senior cap in a FIFA World Cup qualifier at home to Andorra on 5 September 2009 and celebrated by opening the scoring in a 5-0 win.
• Increased his profile during a fabulous 2010/11 season at domestic and European level, finishing the campaign with 11 league goals and playing a leading role in Dynamo's advancement to latter stages of UEFA Europa League.
• Eclipsed that total the following campaign as Dynamo jostled with FC Shakhtar Donetsk for the title; also on target in friendlies against Uruguay (2-3), Bulgaria (3-0), Germany (3-3) and Israel (3-2) as Ukraine worked towards UEFA EURO 2012.
