UEFA Europa League: runner-up 2011

• A Brazilian defensive midfielder, Leandro Salino moved to Portugal for the first time in 2005/06 but made no league appearances for Nacional and returned swiftly to his homeland.

• Although recruited by Rio de Janeiro giants Flamengo in 2007, he made his name on loan at Minas Gerais state club Ipatinga, 64 league appearances in two seasons there earning him a return to Madeira in January 2009.

• Made 38 Liga appearances in one and a half seasons for Nacional – plus eight in the UEFA Europa League (qualifiers and group stage) before Braga recruited him in summer 2010 on three-year contract.

• Having never previously scored a league goal, he found the net on his Liga debut for Braga, completing a 3-1 win at home to Portimonense SC on 13 August 2010.

• Made five appearances in the UEFA Champions League group stage in 2010/11 and featured in every game (from the round of 32 onwards) as Braga reached the UEFA Europa League final.
