• Broke into the Espanyol team in March 2010, making 11 Liga appearances between then and the end of the campaign.

• Following several promising displays at left-back the following season, Milan paid a reported €3m for his services in January 2011; made his debut for the Rossoneri on the final day of the Serie A campaign in a 0-0 draw with Udinese Calcio.

• Having already appeared under Luis Milla at various age levels, he stepped up to the U21s earlier this year when he made his debut in a friendly against finals hosts Denmark.
