Clubs: FK Teleoptik, FK Partizan, Feyenoord, Bayer 04 Leverkusen (loan), FK Partizan (loan), Vitesse, PSV Eindhoven, FC Zenit St Petersburg
• Born in the Serbian town of Kragujevac, Lazović made it to Partizan via feeder club Teleoptik, scoring nine goals for the Belgrade club in his first full top-flight campaign (2001/02) and 11 the following season, winning the title in each of them.
• Won one international cap for Yugoslavia – five minutes in a friendly away to Brazil on 27 March 2002 – before a wait of over two years brought his first caps for Serbia & Montenegro.
• Joined Feyenoord in 2003 but struggled to impose himself during two seasons at the Rotterdam club and was loaned first to Leverkusen then back to Partizan in 2005/06 before returning to the Netherlands with Vitesse, where he enjoyed a highly productive campaign, scoring 19 goals in 32 Eredivisie matches.
• Signed a five-year deal with PSV in 2007 and scored 11 goals in his first season, the last of them − away to Vitesse in Arnhem on the final day − securing the club's fourth successive title; also scored on his UEFA Champions League debut, in a 2-1 win against PFC CSKA Moskva.
• Became a regular Serbian international while at PSV and helped his country qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals, where he was a substitute in all three matches; announced his retirement from international football in March 2011 with 43 caps and 11 goals.
• Left Eindhoven for St Petersburg in March 2010 and won the Russian Premier-Liga with Zenit at the first attempt, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
