• Born in Chur, Switzerland, Frick started his career with Balzers, where he made his senior debut at the tender age of 16.

• Thirty-eight goals in a single season for the Liechtensteiner side caught the eye of several clubs in neighbouring Switzerland, where he moved at the age of 19 to join St Gallen.

• Became the first player from Liechtenstein to play in another country apart from Switzerland when he signed for Italian outfit Arezzo in 2000.

• Spells at Verona, Ternana and Siena − with whom he spent three seasons − followed, during which time he made over 100 Serie A outings and cemented his status as one of Liechtenstein's finest footballing exports.

• Frick, who made his first international appearance in 1993 against Estonia, is Liechtenstein's all-time record scorer (16 goals) and cap holder (102). He brought up a century of matches for the principality in a 2-1 home friendly defeat by Switzerland on 10 August 2011.
