History
• The club was founded on semi-professional terms in 2007 by a group of Apollon Limassol FC supporters. Since then, they have enjoyed a meteoric rise, culminating in ten league titles in four years, including as many domestic doubles and three Super Cups. 

• Their success has been built on solid foundations with an academy comprising of more than 50 girls, who are meticulously catered for in order to develop into players who can cut it amongst the first team and eventually represent their country.

• The board of directors envisaged the club becoming a recognised force in women's football and their ambition gained momentum when Apollon were chosen to host one the UEFA Women's Champions League preliminary round groups.

• Became the first Cypriot side to reach the knockout stages of the UEFA Women's Champions League at the first time of asking, after finishing second in their qualifying group, with two wins and one defeat. In 2010 they claimed the impressive scalp of Swedish side Umeå IK en route to the round of 32 and reached that stage again the following season, before defeat by AC Sparta Praha.
