History
• Despite the absence of an organised competition, the club made their name in the early years with victories against British teams of the local mandate. Beat the 48th Platoon of the British Army 2-1 in 1930 to lift their second State Cup.

• Toured the United States and Australia to acclaim and won their first league championship after the Second World War. Dominated Israeli football throughout the 1950s, collecting five national titles and four Israeli Cups.

• Claimed the Asian Club Championship trophy in 1969, overcoming South Korean opposition in the final. Landed four more league crowns in the 1970s but suffered a barren spell in the next decade, with just two Israeli Cups to show for their efforts.

• Picked up a first championship in 13 years in 1992, allowing Maccabi to participate in the UEFA Champions League for the first time – but Club Brugge KV knocked them out in the first round.

• Secured the double in 1995/96 and in 2004/05 reached the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time, taking four points, including a historic home victory over AFC Ajax and draw with Juventus. Clinched a record 20th title under Óscar García in 2012/13.
