History
• Founded in 1991 under the name Farum Boldklub – as a merger between Farum Idræts Forening and Stavnsholdt Boldklub – Nordsjælland began life in the seventh tier of Danish football, winning promotion to the sixth tier in 1992, and turning professional six years later.

• They were promoted to the top flight, the Superliga, on 29 May 2002, and have been there ever since. In their debut season in the Superliga, and still named Farum Boldklub, they finished third, before changing their name on 1 July 2003 to FC Nordsjælland, to better represent the entire region north of Copenhagen.

• In autumn 2003, Nordsjælland made their European debut, defeating Armenian club FC Shirak 6-0 on aggregate in the qualifying round of the UEFA Cup.

• FC Nordsjælland won their first piece of silverware on 13 May 2010, defeating FC Midtjylland 2-0 after extra time in the Danish Cup final in Copenhagen. One year later, on 22 May 2011, they repeated that triumph with a 3-2 defeat of the same opponents.

• A year and a day later came the greatest day in the club's history to date, with a 3-0 win against AC Horsens in front of a capacity crowd at Farum Park bringing a first Danish title.
