Time to enter Ford Team Challenge
Thursday 29 October 2009Time is running out for your team to show us the skills that could win you a Ford Transit Minibus with the closing date fast approaching in the second edition of the Ford Team Challenge on the UEFA Training Ground.
Great prizes
There have been more than 100 entries for the skills competition since it opened on 26 May, with teams from England, France, Sweden, Finland and Greece among those in contention for the prizes of a minibus, a UEFA Champions League on-pitch experience or training kit courtesy of adidas. To have a chance of claiming these great prizes, and following inaugural Ford Team Challenge winners Bacon's College from England on to the roll of honour, enter before midnight CET on 1 November.
Bigger and better
This year's Ford Team Challenge is bigger and better than before. As in the first edition, schools or clubs must present their most inventive and impressive 60-second skill routine, using at least three players. However, now coaches can show off their talents too with the introduction of training drills into the competition. If you have an eye-catching routine, it could be enough to earn you first prize.

So how do you enter? First you need to film your minute of skills or training drill, using either a video camera or a mobile phone. Once you have your winning entry on film, visit the Ford Team Challenge pages on the Training Ground by clicking here. Register your team, then upload your video on to the site following the instructions, or if you prefer, email or even post your entry to us on a DVD. After that it is down to the team of judges from Football Development.
Treasure trove
Entrants could do worse than take advice from the Training Ground website. Why not get showboating tips from Brazilian international Robinho (click here) or learn freestyle moves courtesy of the Training Ground's resident expert, Paul 'Woody' Wood (here). The site has drills covered too and you can catch examples from Spanish Football Federation coaches, such as this routine to improve passing and shooting.
