The UEFA Executive Committee meets in Paris on Sunday and Monday – with the format of the European qualifying competition for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on the agenda.

UEFA's member national associations will be competing for 13 European slots at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, following a decision by the FIFA Executive Committee at its meeting in Zurich earlier this month.

In addition, the UEFA Executive Committee, chaired by UEFA President Michel Platini, will be asked to approve the regulations for the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Women's Champions League and UEFA Futsal Cup, and appoint the hosts of the 2012 UEFA Congress.

The Executive Committee meeting comes ahead of the XXXV Ordinary UEFA Congress in Paris on Tuesday. Elections for the UEFA Executive Committee and the FIFA Executive Committee, as well as the UEFA presidency election, are among the main items on the agenda at the annual meeting of European football's parliament, attended by representatives of UEFA's 53 national associations.
