• Scoring six goals in 18 international games for Romania, striker Mircea Sandu spent much of his playing career with FC Sportul Studenţesc Bucureşti, finally retiring in 1987 after a spell at FC Gloria Buzău. In total, he scored 167 times in 408 league games.
