UEFA announced today the appointment of SPORTFIVE as its exclusive sales agent for the media rights of UEFA EURO 2012 in Asia (excluding Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Japan and Malaysia) and Oceania.

As part of the agreement, SPORTFIVE will also be handling the media rights sales for the 2011 and  2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championships as well as UEFA Women's EURO 2013 in the same territories.

Commenting on the agreement, UEFA said: "We are pleased to be working again with SPORTFIVE after the successful partnership we enjoyed for the sales of UEFA EURO 2008 media rights.

"The appointment of SPORTFIVE further confirms UEFA's global media sales strategy to secure the best possible partners, being broadcasters directly or agencies, in order to ensure the most consistent and robust distribution of UEFA EURO 2012 broadcast rights worldwide."
