UEFA announced today the award of the 2012–15 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League media rights in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to Modern Times Group.
In the UEFA Champions League, the Wednesday first pick and Wednesday highlights will be available on a free-to-air basis via TV6 in each territory, with the Tuesday first pick also available on TV6 in Lithuania. In addition, one UEFA Champions League match each matchnight as well as Tuesday highlights will be broadcast on Viasat Sport, accessible in all three territories.
With the UEFA Europa League, Viasat Sport will show one game per kick-off slot and a highlights package every matchweek. Matches involving local clubs will be screened on a free-to-air basis via TV6 in the respective clubs' country.
In line with UEFA's platform neutral approach, football fans in the Baltics will also be able to follow both competitions on both the internet and mobile.
