Leading Cypriot pay television operator Cyta has been awarded certain media rights by UEFA in a deal that will cover the 2012–15 cycle of the UEFA Champions League.

Cyta awarded 2012–15 media rights in Cyprus

Leading Cypriot pay television operator Cyta has been awarded certain media rights by UEFA in a deal that will cover the 2012–15 cycle of the UEFA Champions League.

UEFA announced today the award of certain 2012–15 UEFA Champions League media rights to Cyta in Cyprus.

Cyta has been awarded the media rights for all matches, except the best Wednesday match. The pay television operator will show on each matchnight a minimum of four live games across the Cytavision Sports family of channels, including the best Tuesday match, as well as a highlights programme.

All rights have been granted on a platform-neutral basis, with the rights also being exploited on the internet via cytavision.com.cy and on mobile.

Further announcements regarding the sale of the remaining UEFA Champions League media rights and the 2012–15 UEFA Europa League media rights will be made in due course.
