
UEFA announced today that it has reached an exclusive agreement with RTVS in Slovakia for the rights to all 31 matches of the UEFA EURO 2012 final tournament.
The public service broadcaster Rozhlas a Televízia Slovenska will ensure extensive live free-to-air coverage of 27 matches and delayed transmission of the four overlapping matches from the group stage on its main channels Jednotka and Dvojka for the tournament taking place in Poland and Ukraine.
RTVS has also acquired the rights to show UEFA EURO 2012 dedicated magazine and daily highlights programmes. In addition, RTVS will deliver comprehensive coverage of the championship via its radio channels, Slovensky Rozhlas, and its internet and mobile platforms.
Mediator Servicing SA is an independent European Broadcasting Union (EBU) subsidiary fully dedicated to the UEFA EURO 2012 project and acts as UEFA's exclusive agent for marketing UEFA EURO 2012 media rights in the following seven territories: Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Portugal (free-to-air media rights only) and Slovakia.
