ESPN awarded media rights in Caribbean

UEFA and ESPN have concluded a media rights deal which confirms ESPN as the official broadcaster for both UEFA EURO 2012 and UEFA EURO 2016 in the Caribbean region.

UEFA today announced the appointment of ESPN as the official broadcaster of UEFA EURO 2012 and UEFA EURO 2016 in the Caribbean.

ESPN will ensure extensive distribution of both tournaments through coverage of all matches live on ESPN Caribbean or ESPN2 Caribbean. In addition, ESPN will broadcast a minimum of one highlights programme per matchday during both tournaments.

In line with UEFA's platform-neutral approach, ESPN will also exploit the rights on the internet – via ESPN.com and its regional broadband player ESPNPlay – as well as on mobile. Football fans in the Caribbean will therefore have extensive opportunities to enjoy both competitions on an integrated platform of distribution.
