Modern Times Group nets Champions League rights

Modern Times Group has been awarded 2012–15 UEFA Champions League media rights in the Czech Republic, and will broadcast matches and highlights on free-to-air channel PRIMA Cool.

UEFA announced today the award of certain 2012–15 UEFA Champions League media rights in the Czech Republic to Modern Times Group.

This announcement follows on from the recent award of Wednesday best live match and highlights programme rights to Czech TV.

Modern Times Group has been granted all rights except the Wednesday best match and will broadcast one match each matchnight as well as a weekly highlights programme on its free-to-air channel PRIMA Cool.

All rights have been granted on a platform-neutral basis, with the rights also being exploited on the internet, via www.iprima.cz, and on mobile.

This announcement concludes the sale of 2012–15 UEFA Champions League media rights in the territory.
