
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has launched a website dedicated to their activities on UEFA Grassroots Day, Wednesday 19 May.
As part of their Football for All project, the TFF seeks to increase participation in the sport throughout Turkey. On UEFA Grassroots Day – marked by events throughout Europe as well as in Madrid in the build-up to the UEFA Champions League final – the TFF will hold its National Youth and Sport Fest, with tournaments ands activities throughout the country.
Istanbul's Göztepe Park will stage the flagship event with thousands of participants in children's matches, special 'Brotherhood has no disabilities' games, futsal, women's and girl's contests and public activities including penalty shoot-outs, slalom football and ball lifting. Alongside that more than 100,000 people are expected to take part in similar countrywide events, and all are listed on www.grassrootsdayturkey.com.
