EEAB help
The programme, known as the 'Gugutsa' project, has come to fruition after Moldova's football authorities purchased 300 sports bags containing footballs, bibs and cones. The purchase was made possible with the assistance of UEFA's East European Assistance Bureau (EEAB).
Equipment bag
The FMF is split into ten regional federations. In each of these ten regions, 30 coaches will receive the necessary education on how to work with children in this age group. For this, every coach will also receive one of the equipment bags.
Training programme
It will be the coaches' task, in co-ordination with teachers in various kindergartens and schools, to organise a 45-minute programme of football training at least once or twice a week.
Assistance example
During a hand-over ceremony in Caushani, 60km south of Chisinau, four trainers each received a sports bag. The Moldova association expressed its gratitude to UEFA for this example of assistance to help football's progress in former Soviet Republics.
