Successful knowledge sharing project

The HatTrick Knowledge Sharing Project aims at enhancing the professionalism in the national associations by addressing critical issues and problems more efficiently.

Launched in 2005, The HatTrick Knowledge Sharing Project lead by UEFA's education project manager André Boder aims at enhancing the professionalism in the national associations by addressing critical issues and problems more efficiently.

Enhancing professionalism
In its first 18 months, the HatTrick Knowledge Sharing Project has achieved significant milestones by working with national associations' middle management to enhance the professionalism of their associations. By May 2007, the project successfully accomplished the following:

• Conducted nine seminars at UEFA headquarters for associations' middle management to develop and reinforce basic skills in management fields (marketing, project management, finance, communications and media) with 53 associations represented.
• Conducted three workshops in Helsinki, Bucharest and Zagreb for associations' middle management on critical issues concerning event management with 25 associations participating. • Conducted three workshops in Skopje, Bratislava and Yerevan for associations' middle management on critical issues concerning TV rights with 27 associations participating.
• Launched two e-learning modules on project management and marketing featuring interactive presentations, videos and quizzes to reinforce the professional skills and knowledge of associations' middle management.

Next activity
The next major activity for the project includes the launching of the follow-up activities with selected national associations.
