Terry issued with three-game suspension

Chelsea FC's John Terry has been banned for three matches by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body for his dismissal in the UEFA Champions League semi-final against FC Barcelona.

The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has suspended Chelsea FC player John Terry for three UEFA club competition matches.

The ban follows his dismissal in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against FC Barcelona on 24 April. As the player did not participate in the subsequent final against FC Bayern München on 19 May, he has already served one match of his suspension. The remaining two games shall apply to the player's next two UEFA club competition matches for which he would be eligible.

An appeal may be lodged against this decision within three days of the dispatch of the reasoned decision.
