RFS appeals disciplinary decision

The Football Union of Russia has appealed against the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body's decision of 13 June concerning the UEFA EURO 2012 Group A match against the Czech Republic.

The Football Union of Russia (RFS) has appealed against the decision by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body on 13 June to impose a deduction of six points for the qualifying competition of the next UEFA European Championship. This decision is suspended for a probationary period running from now until the end of the play-offs for the UEFA EURO 2016 finals.

The RFS was also fined €120,000. The RFS was facing charges for the improper conduct of its supporters (crowd disturbances), the setting off and throwing of fireworks and the display of illicit banners at the UEFA EURO 2012 Group A match against the Czech Republic in Wroclaw on 8 June.
