The chairman of the UEFA Appeals Body, as judge sitting alone, has today announced the verdict following the appeal lodged by NK Dinamo Zagreb against the decision taken by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body on 30 October, in the wake of serious crowd disturbances that occurred at their UEFA Europa League away match against FC Timişoara on 1 October.
Fine and probation
After examining the written submission of both parties, the chairman of the Appeals Body complied with the identical request submitted by Dinamo Zagreb and the UEFA Disciplinary Inspector, and decided to replace the initial three-point deduction from the Croatian club with a €75,000 fine plus a disqualification from all UEFA competitions for a probationary period of three years.
Stadium ban unchanged
The rest of the decision regarding their stadium ban for their next two UEFA Europa League Group A home games – already played against AFC Ajax on 5 November, and against Timişoara on 17 December – remains unchanged.
