UEFA has imposed a one-match suspension on PFC CSKA Moskva players Sergei Ignashevich and Aleksei Berezutski for failing to comply with the UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations and fined the club.

The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body today imposed a one-match suspension on PFC CSKA Moskva players Sergei Ignashevich and Aleksei Berezutski after they failed to comply with the UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations following the UEFA Champions League match against Manchester United FC on 3 November.

Suspension served
As both players were provisionally suspended, and therefore did not play in the UEFA Champions League match against Beşiktaş JK on 8 December, they have already served their suspension. In addition PFC CSKA Moskva were fined €25,000 for not implementing the UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations. The players and the club have three days from receipt of the written decision to appeal.
