European women referees chosen for Germany

Six referees, 12 assistants and three dedicated fourth officials will form a 21-woman European contingent on the 51-strong officials team at this summer's FIFA Women's World Cup.

Twenty-one European officials are among the 51-strong team selected to officiate at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany this summer.

The FIFA Referees Committee has appointed 16 referees, 32 assistant referees and three referees who will serve exclusively as fourth officials during the competition between 26 June and 17 July.

The European representatives are as follows:
Referees: Dagmar Damková (Czech Republic); Gyöngyi Gaál (Hungary); Kirsi Heikkinen (Finland); Jenny Palmqvist (Sweden); Christina Pedersen (Norway); Bibiana Steinhaus (Germany).
Assistant referees: Cristina Cini (Italy); Anu Jokela (Finland); Helen Karo (Sweden); Anna Nyström (Sweden); Tonja Paavola (Finland); Yolanda Parga Rodríguez (Spain); Katrin Rafalski (Germany); Lada Rojc (Croatia); Hege Steinlund (Norway); María Luisa Villa Gutiérrez (Spain); Natalie Walker (England); Marina Wozniak (Germany).
Fourth officials: Thalia Mitsi (Greece); Kateryna Monzul (Ukraine); Esther Staubli (Switzerland).

Officials from FIFA's six continental confederations have been monitored and assessed at domestic, continental and international competitions, as well as through a series of practical and interactive training sessions. The officials have also been tested regularly for fitness and refereeing technique, as well as for their knowledge of English.

All of the officials will undergo one final fitness test to be held in Frankfurt approximately a week before the first match at Berlin's Olympiastadion on 26 June.
