The UEFA Referees Committee today announced the referee for Saturday's UEFA Champions League final at Wembley Stadium between FC Barcelona and Manchester United FC (kick-off 20.45CET).

The match will be handled by 35-year-old Hungarian official Viktor Kassai who has taken charge of more than 60 UEFA fixtures since making his international debut in 2001.

Kassai has handled one UEFA Europa League and five UEFA Champions League games this season, including the round of 16 first leg between FC Internazionale Milano and FC Bayern München and the group stage meeting of Valencia CF and Manchester United. Last summer he refereed the FIFA World Cup semi-final between Germany and Spain.

At the final in London, Kassai will be assisted by his countrymen Gabor Erös and György Ring. The fourth official will be István Vad and the two additional assistant referees Mihaly Fabian and Tamás Bognar. A reserve assistant referee, Robert Kispal, completes the all-Hungarian lineup.
